What Is Chapped Skin?

Chapped skin isn't a life threatening condition but it can, like dry skin, have an affect how we feel about ourselves. It doesn't matter why we have dry skin, it is hard to feel attractive if our sin is red and chapped.

What does dry skin look like?

The fine lines on our skin become more visible as our skin dries out. Severe dry skin becomes so cracked that it looks like the webs of a fishing net. The skin begins to feel rough and it looks dull and flaky. It can become so dry that these cracks will go deep and can even bleed.

Where does dry skin usually occur?

Usually we find it occurring on the arms and legs, sometimes on the trunk of the body. This condition is often found on the soles of our feet, especially on the heels.

If we already have chapped skin or dry skin, it is even more important to restore the moisture that has been lost.

Cure for dry skin

We need to apply lotions on our skin when it is exposed to drying conditions. These lotions must be able to go deeper than just moisturizer the surface of the skin.
