Infectious Skin Diseases

Infectious skin diseases are skin problems that can be easily transmitted from one person to another making them highly contagious to other family members as well as the community at large.

There are many types of infectious diseases. Some quite common.

They are easily transmitted through liquids, food, body fluids, contaminated objects, or airborne inhalation. As you can see, there are so many ways to get these skin diseases they can spread through out the community very quickly.

That means the easiest and best disease prevention is to practice good hygiene. Washing hands is not hard to do, but it often the most neglected.

There are four types of infectious agents:

Public places like schools, gyms, and swimming pools are sources of these infections, making it necessary to take more than usual precautions when using these facilities.

If a person should develop symptoms of any of these skin problems it is important to keep on top of them and take immediate action.

Since these infectious skin diseases are so easily spread, and there are so many types of these diseases it is better to take precautions so you don't get them in the first place.
