Tattoos Things To Consider
Tattoos represent different things to different people. Some view it as body art while others consider it a fad. Others view the skin as a canvas and they have almost their whole body done
Things you may want to consider before getting any body art done: - The first thing to consider is that these designs are permanent.
Your tastes may change as time goes on, so consider how you will feel in a year or more. What you felt was a work of art in your teens may not be so appropriate in later years. - Your circumstances may change. Will the design have an impact on present or future employment. If it is a girlfriend's or boyfriend's name and you break up, could be a problem.
- Deciding where to place your design is important. Some employers do not allow visible tattoos. Also, women who plan on getting pregnant should be aware that if placed in the abdominal area the skin may stretch changing the pattern.
- Losing or gaining weight can alter the design. What started as body art may change to something less desirable.
- How much pain can you tolerate. Some designs are more painful than others.
- Do you have a fear of needles? Remember needles are used to create the designs.
- The cost of getting it done should certainly be taken into consideration. Added to the original cost is the cost to have the design touched up if it becomes necessary. If infection should occur, doctors bills have to be added to the cost as well.
Consider The Risks- To have body art removed will leave your skin scared and discolored. So much for having beautiful skin.
- You may be allergic to the ink or may even get a skin infection.
- You maybe infected with blood-borne diseases.
Choosing Where To Get Your Tattoo Done- Do your homework. Also be prepared to ask some very pointed questions. Find out where the artist did their apprenticeship, how long they have been doing tattoos and could you see some examples of their work. Ask for references and then check them out.
- Check out the equipment they use. Do they have an autoclave for sterilization, do they re-use needles or do the use new “single use” ones every time. The safest procedure is considered to be single-use needles.
- Find out about the history of the salon or artist. Was there any violation?
- Make sure to ask what the cost is going to be and do they give free tough-ups. It is customary to tip the artist, so consider that into the cost.
- Is the salon or artist fully licensed.
There is a lot to think about before deciding to have a tattoo. Beautiful skin can be enhanced by this form of body art but remember to consider these designs as being on the skin permanently. If you decide to have a tattoo, choose wisely. As one wise man said, “Think before you ink”.
